Main Article Content
Abstract
This research paper examines the legal framework and psychological characteristics of child victims under Algerian legislation, highlighting their fundamental rights, the impacts of abuse and family instability, and protective mechanisms. Adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, the study evaluates the provisions of Law 15-12 relating to child protection and analyzes the penalties enforced for crimes committed against minors. The findings demonstrate that Algerian legislation provides a structured framework for sanctioning these offenses and identifying the psychological indicators of victimized children. Consequently, rigorous legal enforcement, combined with comprehensive social and familial support, is essential to mitigate trauma and ensure the effective rehabilitation and protection of child victims.
